    Big Improvement over the original X-Maxx servo

    Good, solid product that is definitely stronger than the original X-Maxx servo. The internal gears are brass, except for the one that is directly attached to the servo horn. I think this is a weak point as I have stripped some teeth off this internal gear already. I have also broken one of the ball ends out of the plastic tie rod and had to replace the tie rod with aluminium ones. However, the rest of my steering components have also been upgraded to aluminium, so in a big crash something has to fail! Overall, I'm very happy with the new servo.

    Xmaxx metal gear servo

    It is was better than the stock servo but that's not saying much as that lasted 3 days.it still works but I have such little faith in Traxxas servos I will only give 3 stars because I expect I will need another soon,Traxxas is junk in my book and wish I had went with a different brand

    Just another way

    After my purchase of the Gen2 X-maxx i was disappointed to find out that the weak and sloppy servo from the Gen1 didn’t make the “weak point” list that needed more attention for the Gen2 version. With the large sticker price upfront one should get what one pays for. I guess that’s just another way to make even more money. As far as the 2085x goes, its daylight and dark difference. A must

    You need this servo!

    This servo combined with the stiffer servo saver spring and metal drag link totally transformed the steering on my X-Maxx. The wheels turn on carpet now. The stock servo couldn't do that. The 2085x is also quicker as well. My Xmaxx now turns like it's supposed to. Definitely worth the upgrade. My old 2085 was three years old and maybe it was getting tired, but this 2085x is no joke.

    Perfect fit replacement

    Due to crap weather I’ve only ran my Xmaxx a couple times since installing this servo. So it’s too soon to brag on it. The two times I did run it I saw a noticeable improvement on steering response AND range of turning radius. For the price of an Xmaxx this should be the stock servo.
