Jan Melin's two volume set is the go to reference for these Mercedes. Volume 1 gives an overview of all of the different series of these cars and the more standard bodies from Sindelfingen's Special Works Dept using many detailed period photos. Volume 2 deals with the mechanical side of the cars and bodies supplied by outside coachbuilders It finishes with a section on the surviving cars. Both were well researched over a few decades and contain mountains of data. It took me several years to talk myself into getting them but I could not be more pleased!
