I totally concur with the great online and magazine reviews this model has had - plenty of storage, good camera, highly responsive fingerprint sensor and it's REALLY quick. Two bonuses I particularly welcome are that the sound output is of decent quality, even over Bluetooth, and scanning is very simple - both unlike the Huawei P10 Lite it replaced. Unlike most models that try to add to Android, the most recent version of the MIUI interface does actually improve things rather than just sitting on the OS as bloatware. The only slight gotcha is that it's noticeably more bulky than other phones in the size range, but hasn't been a dealbreaker for me.

seems very capable, but it's heavy, and nearly twice as large as my prevoious smart phone I had difficulties setting it up and had to get help from a professional to get past the language selection screen,

I bought it as a secondary phone as it was a reasonable price. I have now dumped my old one as it doesn’t perform anywhere near as good as the Poco 3. Good screen, good speaker, great connectivity and with a bigger memory (the only reason I wanted it in the first place) and a good enough camera for everyday use. Charges really quickly. I’m well impressed with my new phone, so what’s not to like? I’m as happy as a pig in Shipley! Will definitely buy another one, absolutely for sure.

For the price you pay for this beast of a phone, I don't think there is anything to match it pound for pound. It's a hardworking device, accomplishing everything you ask of it, with ease and great speed. Battery life is awesome and it fully charges in an hour. Easy to navigate and feels comfortable in the hand. Web browsing is extremely fast and smooth. A plethora of connectivity options and NFC too. I can't fault this phone, other than I just wish the camera was better. Focus and photo clarity can be hit or miss on occasions. I'm aware of the fact that this is a very cheap phone, and possibly I am expecting too much from the camera, but it would have been an out of this world review if not for the quality of some photos. I have to recommend this phone to anyone who is not 100% focused on camera capabilities. 8.5/10 ****Read full review

Having looked at a wide variety of low-cost replacements (my wife loves her Oppo A5) I chose the Xiaomi Poco X3 pro, mainly for 2 reasons. The first was due to the 5000+mWh battery and the second was the fast processor chip. I'm not someone who plays games on their mobile phone but if the manufacturer goes to the trouble of using a faster CPU then the rest of the phone should be built to match, and it is. I'm now charging my phone only every other day (but I do have low usage presently) and the responsiveness of the screen is very good. I've not tried the 12oHz refresh rate yet (as I say, I'm not a gamer so don't know if I ever will) but it's another feature that you only get from a better low cost phone ((sub £160).
