Guide a giant robot through futuristic turn-based battles in this portable edition in Konami's Zone of the Enders saga. Once again, players take the role of a young boy who accidentally finds himself in the pilot's seat of a giant mech and in the middle of an interplanetary war. Unlike the original Zone of the Enders 3D action game released for the PlayStation 2 earlier in 2001, this GBA title focuses on deep strategy across 2D battlefields. <br><br>Players direct their military units in turn to maneuver into do-or-die battles with enemy troops. Player-controlled mechs and other vehicles can be upgraded by adding new parts and adjusted to provide customized levels of offense or defense and armor or speed. Mech pilots will also gain experience, becoming faster and more efficient as they survive more confrontations. This Game Boy Advance ZOE title was developed with approval of the producer of the original PS2 game, Noriaki Okamura.

    Super Robot Wars Redone

    Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars is a tactical Mech game. When you play it, those who ever played Super Robot Taisen (or Wars) would enjoy most of the features this game has to give. The lengthy dialogues between characters and villains that slowly moves the plot along. The ability to gang up on the bad guy to get as much experience points as possible. This game does however does it differently. Playing the game you will notice you actually get to control the mech somewhat. A cursor on the screen in the battle lets you try to hit for critical attacks or dodge attacks. This may get a little tiring later but I have yet to find it pointless. The game is a must have or at least to try and play. The story is somewhat cliche but with this rag tag bunch of people, you won't be bored.
