The nightmare continues in Obscure: The Aftermath for PlayStation. This survival game in the horror genre takes you down the path of twisted science and secrets best left to rot. Once again, the survivors returning from the first video game find that their peaceful lives are being targeted. A whole new threat emerges from the traumas of the past. It's now up to you to do what's right and put a stop to it for good.This sequel to the original Obscure is called Obscure II in Europe. It was developed by Hydravision Entertainment with a release date by Ignition Entertainment in 2008. It is a dark horror game with two-player co-op capability with controls and combat often used in action-adventure games. This version of the game is the North American release for the Sony PlayStation 2.Some of the cast from the first Obscure game make a reappearance in the sequel. After the events of the first game, Shannon and Kenny moved to a new city for a fresh start. The past just won't stay dead. Strange, black flowers have suddenly appeared on campus, and their powerful pollen has hallucinogenic properties. A new biological experiment threatens the people of the characters' new town. Their new university and all the students inside are in danger. Helping them along the way are biological scientists, fellow students, and what few survivors remain.The combat in the sequel takes a page out of other action-adventure and survival horror games. Melee is the rule of the day in order to keep yourself alive. Baseball bats, hockey sticks, crossbows, Taser guns, submachine guns, and other armaments are standing between the heroes and evil. Some characters even have special abilities that let them control or avoid the full effect of the spores.The cast of the second Obscure video game is a mixture of returning characters and new faces making their debuts. You can choose from any of the six playable characters. Each character brings distinct skills to the group, from moving heavy objects to hacking computers. The cast is fully voiced for this cautionary tale of human ambition and evil science, providing a rich, cinematic feel. Viewed from a third-person perspective, the action of the game primarily involves fighting enemies and solving puzzles. Using two characters at a time, you can freely switch between the two. This allows you to take advantage of certain skills depending on what you need to do to progress. You can play with a friend or the trusty AI. Game was in very good condition. Works well, and I'm enjoying playing it. First time using e-bay and I'm happy. Delivery time takes slightly longer (although it did arrive ahead of schedule) and is a bit costlier than Amazon, but I get that, as e-bay puts you in contact with multiple small suppliers. it was a hard to find product and I'm grateful e-bay was able to source it for me.

    This game works fine. Storyline wise, it could've been a little better. Unfortunately, there's nothing to unlock once you complete the story. They need to re-release this on current consoles.

    Love the game but can't play this copy.

    The product listed indicates that it has been tested and works properly. However upon receiving the product I attempted to play it. While the Playstation 2 does read the disc but it will not let me play the actual game. It remains frozen on the loading screen. So i have to say this product was clearly bad.

    OF ALL THE GAME'S I'VE BOUGHT LATELY, THIS IS CLOSEST TO A 5555!!!

    OBSCURE THE AFTERMATH, is a great game that can be played in 2-player co-op. What I like most is the creepy atmosphere. What I like least, is that the 2-player co-op didn't work well. I now have my good copy so I probably won't buy another one.

    awesome game

    I had alittle problem at the beginning in the cementary where you had to beat the dummies to get through.I would beat&beat until my thumb was sore.There is a way 2 so it,so dont give up.After that it was awesome. If u like games like Resident evil u will love this one.I havent played part 1 yet,I dont know if it it as good. I would definetly say "BUY IT".If u have a gameing friend it is a good game for 2 players. Have Fun!
