Stirring Stuff!
It is quite a substantial stirrer and keeps your fingers well away from the pan. It might be a little chunky for small hands. It is well made and well finished, without any coating or varnish, which would have been a bad feature. It works well by reaching all parts of the pan and mixing the porridge effectively without picking up too much of the mixture. It is very easy to clean.

This is an excellent , well made quality product. Very impressed, it's better than I expected too. It's replacing my old much used, (and loved) one. As it was some years old, as with most things I expected the newer one to be 'flimsier and less 'robust', but this is the best one I've had so far. I'm going to order another for reserve.

Good quality spurtle!
I was given a wooden spurtle as a gift more than 30 years ago. I still continue to use it to this day, not only for porridge but for anything that needs stirring on the hob. My daughter has just moved out therefore after looking online I opted for this Spurtle as a gift for her, it is very good quality and has a pretty little bow. She was very pleased as she always used the spurtle when cooking at home.I was given a wooden spurtle as a gift more than 30 years ago. A Useful Utensil
Spurtle are very usful in stirring thicker sunstances - most popular use in this household is in making porridge. This item serves this purpose very well. If the spurtle is in the wash then the handle of a wooden spoon serves well but not quite so well as this utensil.
