    I've heard this kit is far more accurate than the cheap test strips; so far, they seem to match, but I do think this is a serious test kit and probably more trustworthy than anything out there and apparently the pros seem to think so. Reminds me of the commercial swimming pool test kits. Worth the money and should last a long time.

    API Fresh Water Test Kit

    This test kit measure PH, Amonia, and water hardness. These kits sell for around 30 dollars at Petsmart, but you can find them for aroynd 25 on ebay. They are a must have if you have tropical fish as water chemistry is extremely important if you want your fis to survive.
