Smooth, fine, yet strong quality pins of good length. Very useful and versatile.
I'm sewing a lot of curtains, some of them quite heavy. The Sew Easy 0.75 mm pins work best. They are thin enough not to leave ugly hole marks even on silk, but are strong and hard and do not bend easily. The only drawback is that they go into fingers just as easily :) The tips are sharp and smooth and do not fray the fabric. And the length makes them suitable for many kinds of different materials and thicknesses. I've tried Prym and Hemline pins, but they are not as good as these. The Prym 0.8mm are slightly thicker, but still bend more easily than the Sew Easy 0.75mm The Hemline 0.7mm are a bit too thin for heavier curtain fabrics, and also the tips are not smooth and they can fray the fabric on insertion, which can actually ruin a finer silk surface.
