About this product

Product Information

An original 3D platform game inspired by Egyptian mythology, Sphinx involves players in an epic quest to find the ancient crowns of Egypt. Played from a third-person perspective behind the eponymous character, the game has players interacting with hundreds of supernatural creatures while journeying across levels spanning the globe. Each region is linked together by magic portals, but in order to reach them, players have to solve puzzles, defeat bosses, and learn new abilities. The ultimate goal is to find and stop the nefarious plans of Set, the fabled Egyptian god of storms and chaos.

    Underrated game!

I stumbled upon this hidden gem watching youtube videos. I was hooked and had to buy a copy off eBay. Besides the jumping being a bit weird (you get used to it) and the camera being not what you're used to with the Legend of Zelda games. This game is great looking, had a pretty good story, and the gameplay keeps you wanting to go forward. I would recommend this title to anyone looking for games for their GameCube. I haven't played the play station or xbox versions, but I would imagine they are equally impressive.

  • Awesome game and nostalgic.

Played this game when I was younger and had a blast. It was just like Jak and Daxter with Daxter being the comic relief. In this case it's the mummy. An awesome change in pace that I'm sure anyone can enjoy.

  • Title is perfect for telling what the game is about

My family has played this game before and WE LOVE IT!!! This game has been played over and over and over again! Takes alot of skill, but is not impossible to win. This game takes various skills to play i.e.: sword fighting, memory skills, jumping, climbing, deductive skills, etc. and is not the same thing over and over again. I love that you play this game as the mummy, the Prince and as Sphinx, each has their own skills and pitfalls...the mummy is my favorite! This game is a must!!! Only wish that there was a Sphinx II!!

  • Awesome service and delivery response!

Thank you so much for the quick delivery! Going to enjoy playing this game once again. Thank You!

  • Very entertaining

I've really enjoyed playing this game. There was one Saturday where I was pretty bored so I popped in this game and played for about 9 hours straight. Time just flew and I got lost in the game. The graphics were pretty interesting. I haven't played very long (except that one day) and I've been in seeing volcanoes, desert, water, pyramids, inside of castles, etc. It's fun just seeing where the next screen/level is going to take you. And even though it was a GameCube game, my controller would still rumble in my hands when something happened.
