Item badly scratched and not all scratches were shown on the images. Cable was missing and the pouch was filthy and full of animal hair. Arrived very close to Xmas so had to give it to daughter but asked for a price reduction. Seller refused and initially insisted cable would have come with it which it didn’t. Totally refused to reduce price and suggested I take it from our child and send it back. I would not but from this seller again. Camera wasn’t worth half the price I paid for it.

    Great Camera

    The camera arrived with an original Fuji case and was in excellent condition as described in the listing. I have only taken a few pictures but so far the camera has proven easy to use. The handgrip makes it sit comfortably in the hand The electronic viewfinder gives it the feel of a 35mm film camera, although it betrays itself by being slightly grainy. The rear LCD screen is very good and there are a wide range of options over what to display on it. The zoom covers the range of 28mm to 504mm on a film camera and it's operation is smooth and fast. The images captured are clear with good colour. There are an initially bewildering number of options governing using the camera but you can use it in a point and shoot mode by selecting any of the automatic options.     As good as cameras costing 3;4 or more times as much

    I've been looking for a camera with a good zoom for a while among the usual high priced cameras, until a friend told me about the Fuji FinePix S range. I dedided to try the S2950 and it really lives up to all the reviews I've read. It is the size and weight of a compact camera which it is, but it has the 18x Zoom and 14MPs gives a very good picture with clarity of cameras costing loads more, that I have compared it with. The only thing I would change is the batteries , If you are using it a lot you have to carry 4aa spares, but buy some high capacity rechargeable batteries they are worth it. On auto setting without flash I took pictures inside Hexham Abbey, it looked like I'd used floolights. For the price you cannot beat it. Lol1940

    great camera exellent value for the money

    I bought this camera as a upgrade for the earlier Fujifilm finepix S1500 model I was very happy with the S1500 but I thought that this newer model wih some new features and a longer zoom would be a good buy . I was right this is a great camera and for the money I don,t think there is much to better it. Its so easy to use just leave it on auto and it does it all for you, you really can get some great pictures. If you want to you can adjust the settings to suit yourself its really up to you.its got some great features like smile and blink detection anti shake and numerous programs for different situations, all this with HD pictures and video. if you want to move up from simple point and shoot this is the camera for you .     Camera I got, didn't have 18 x optical zoom, I sent it back

    I chose this camera as the replacement of my Konica Minolta Dimage Z3, because it has faulty batery closing lid. I wanted cheaper camera with higher optical zoom then 12 x like Konica Minolta and less features, which I hardly use. Fujifilm Finepix S 2950 looked like good buy. When I went to check it outside, what it really does, I took my older camera to compare pictures. I was disapointed, that despite it is in the product description and also written on the camera, it doesn't have 18 x optical zoom. When I compared pictures from both cameras with maximum zoom, Fujifilm was slightly worse with zoom then 12 x Konica Minolta. What also annoyed me, that it was impossible to cover lens when it was open and I didn't take picture at the moment and it was 'on' all the time untill I switched it ...
