Black Sabbath had released in the preceding years, the actually quite decent 'born again' and then 'seven stars' which was actually a tony o solo project. That one angered bs fans but it was actually not that bad. It wasn't as hard as this one though. This was more hard metal and yet it had good singers; both on the initial vocals which you get on disc 2. I have the deluxe version. And the released version which is on disc 1. I collect this band so I had to have this one. It's not great by any means but it's good metal that doesn't sound slick at all. It's a ok cd and if you enjoy good hard rock then this should make you happy. However there's not any real standout songs like black sabbath usually had on their earlier discs. The next one tyr was a better disc for sure. But this was not a bad cd by any means. The sound is good on both discs here.Read full review

I just love this cd! The amazing and strong Iommi's riffs and Tony Martin's voice on The Shinning (Ronnie J. Dio's spirit...) and Eternal Idol makes a great album. The second cd, with Ray Gillen is fantastic. His voice is strong and clear. And Listening the both cds, I think that Tony martin is a very good singer, it's a great metal singer like the other Sabbath singers. Great cd, great songs! Sabbath rules!
Being an avid BS fan for the last 40yrs seen then numerous times wanted this for my collection good solid tracks not Ossy but then no one is
