Excellent quality vidro
A step up on the broadcast quality in terms of video definition but the age of the disk production is clear from the slow menus etc

I bought it for a x-mas present for my husband. In the end I gave it a month before x-mas:) He was so exited that he watched it 3 days on the row after working days.

From strenght to strength
From an explosive start, this series gets better and better. Like any long-running show, you will find the odd dull episode here and there, but you have to watch them because every minute of the show is important to the ongoing story arc - thankfully, in 22 epsisodes of series 2, there are only a couple of slow segments. The writing is excellent, and thought-provoking to boot, with an excellent cast who were largely unknown before this Galactica, but all of whom deserve to be household names. This is no futuristic fantasy, the cast of the series may be from other worlds but they are without a doubt as human as you and I, and the parrallels between the Galactica universe and events in parts of our own world are clear. Even if you are not usually a sci-fi fan, Battlestar Galactica is first ... From an explosive start, this series gets better and better. Even if you are not usually a sci-fi fan, Battlestar Galactica is first class drama and is to be recommended, featuring stories that could work equally well without fleets of spacecraft. Be careful buying this box set on eBay, it took me two attempts to get a genuine edition. Some people are advertising "Asian editions" which are clearly nothing more than copies made with a CD-burner equipped PC and case covers printed on colour printers. A non-UK edition would NOT have British and Irish rating labels on the packaging, and look at the bottom of the DVDs themselves - all factory-produced DVDs are silver. If the discs you bought have a blue or lilac tint on the underside, then however good the label on top looks, you have home-made DVD-R copies and need to demand your money back. Don't let this discourage you, there are more honest sellers on eBay than there are crooks. I got my money back on the fakes I unwittingly bought, and got a genuine box-set less than a week later from another eBay seller - for the SAME PRICE!

Battlestar Galactica season 2
Bought this because I already had the pilot episode and season 1. Also watched and enjoyed original Battlestar Galactica from 70's. In the first season we were introduced to many of the same characters who were in the original 70's show; Adama,Starbuck,Boomer,Tigh etc. It was interesting that they changed some of the characters from male to female; Starbuck and Boomer. Also liked how the Cylons had evolved into more humanoid forms (while still keeping the Robot style Cylons as well), we only saw 4 of the new "human" Cylons in the first season. Second season continued on from were it ended in first season; Adama's assassination by Boomer(Cylon),Starbuck stranded on Caprica and Baltar,Chief and others stranded on Kobol. Really enjoyed second season with the Adama recovering and getting the ... Bought this because I already had the pilot episode and season 1. Looking forward to season three and the continuing saga......

Battlestar Galactica - Series 2 (Region 2 DVD)
This collection continued the excellent plot themes commenced in the mini-series and first season. The cast were well chosen and they deliver their roles with aplomb. There were some notable guest appearances from Michelle Forbes, Lucy Lawless and Dean Stockwell. There is a 'cliff hanger' ending to the season. One disappointment was that the region 2 set does not include all the 'extras' found on the region 1 discs, only the extras from the first half of the season. Nevertheless it was still very enjoyable and I am eagerly looking forward to watching the third season.This collection continued the excellent plot themes commenced in the mini-series and first season.
