Product Information

This offering in the Rotel amplifier line contains outputs for two speakers, along with inputs for CDs, cassette tapes, and tuners, giving a versatile product to consumers. A phono input on the Rotel RA-930AX allows users to connect and play turntable units. This integrated amplifier also has three line inputs along with one cassette tape loop. For consumers who don't yet have the perfect set of speakers, the Rotel amplifier helps out in sound quality with its two nondefeatable tone controls that operate at +/-6dB extremes to compensate for poor audio quality. The Rotel RA-930AX also contains a headphone socket for the connection of personal listening devices, when desired. Solid and robust and measuring 440 mm wide, 90 mm high, and 300 mm deep, this integrated amplifier weighs about 5 kg. The Rotel amplifier also features a black anodised aluminium front panel, a set of bare wire plug-ins, an impedance of 4-8 Ohms, a maximum output of 180 watts, and a small EI-core in the transformer.

    Rotel RA840 B or BX

    You must replace electrolytic capacitors on these old amplifiers preferably eith decent audio grade types also clean all switches with appropriate electronic cleaner. Bias must be checked and reset to factory settings. After this the Rotel with sound ad good or better than new. I have serviced a few of these I recommend Siemens Sikorel 10,000 Uf 63v main smoothing capacitors these are large and have to be mounted off board I also replaced all wiring from RCA pcb to main pcb with sheilded OFC cable replaced speaker connections eith new gold platef 4mm sockets. Have fun.

    This vintage of Japanes hardware predates integrated circuits, so the spacious case is easy to acces discrete electronic components for servicing. The only immediately apparent fault was a loose wore in the mains plug.
