Does the job and looks OK
I was fed up after having the second tow ball cover stolen, so I drilled a small hole through the new chromium plated cover and into the top of the tow ball and fastened it down with a sel tapping screw It worked fine for a few years until I clumsily caught it on a low wall when reversing and cracked it I bought this one as a replacement as it had a locking device, to save the trouble It's not particularly well made but about the same price as the non-locking versions I don't know why these things are so expensive as I'm sure they cost peanuts to make That's probably why people keep nicking them! It does the job, at a price.
Having had a number of, non-lockable, covers stolen I bought this one to combat the thieves, so far, so good. I have said it is good value as it does the job at a relatively low cost. However, it must cost only pennies to make and I believe should be sold for no more than, say, £2.50. As far as quality is concerned, it is made of cheap, thin, plastic and would only take a determined vandal a few seconds to smash off, if that is what was wanted.
