First off, I would like to say I got into this series because of chicks, violence and vampires. I never cared much for musicals. I will also admit to not watching it when it first aired, and avoided watching it. But of course, I really couldn't as the episode added more to further the plot/storyline. At first I thought it was ok, then it wasn't so bad, then it was pretty good, and now I totally enjoy the ep. Also watching the behind the scenes for the ep on DVD, I developed a greater understanding and appreciation of the efforts put into making the ep, by both Joss and the actors/actresses. I'll also add that I've listened to my CD 45 times. Why you should buy this album: -great way to enjoy emotions brought on during the episode -to enjoy the actors/actresses' surprising vocal performances -if you enjoyed the episode "Once More With Feeling" -it's different from the other soundtrack albums as they only consist of songs performed by other artists/bands -lyrics are included -"bonus" tracks include: --- Suite from "Restless" (Willow's nightmare scene) --- Suite From "Hush" (what I call the Gentlemen theme) --- Suite from "The Gift" (during the sacrifice scene) -if you want to hear Joss sing -you're a Buffy series fan (duh!) The only flaw I have of this album is that it does NOT have the song Anya sings in the episode "Selfless". If they ever do a re-release, it's got to include Anya's "Missus" song, and if they want to put it over the top, include the bit about getting mustard on the shirt. I'm actually giving it a 4.5/5, as it's not a complete album without Anya's very cheerful "Missus" song. Since the Ebay system doesn't do "halfs", I will not choose 4/5, that's too low a score. You can't go wrong with this CD, it's a special episode that rightly deserves an album dedicated to it.Read full review
A true Buffy fan's collection is not complete without this cd! I purchased the cd because I loved the episode, it is probably one of my favorites, and I just couldn't get enough. I confess that I have watched the episode countless times, so what better way to sing than to buy the cd? I listen to it often and it does wonders for my mood! It has all the great songs from the episode start to finish, plus more favorites like "Hush" and "the Gift" theme songs, gives me chills! Plus in addition to all the cast member songs from the episode, they also included the brief and amusing solo's of Marti Noxon as the parking ticket lady and David Fury as the mustard man. And I can't forget the last song that Joss sang himself "Something to Sing About"...just for kicks. I do wish that they had extended the songs for the cd, they did have to be short because of the time limit of the episode. Also, I would have liked to have the song that Anya sang in a later episode as a flashback. I am thrilled that they released a cd from the episode, Joss did an excellent job writing the music. If your a fan of the episode and the music don't hesitate to buy it!Read full review
Great Seller. Fast Delivery. Amazing CD!!! This is the soundtrack from the Buffy musical. Season 6, Episode 7. I fell in love with Buffy The Vampire Slayer in the middle of season 3. I was immediately hooked. When it left the WB and moved to UPN, I moved with it. Season 6, episode 7 "Once More With Feeling" the critically acclaimed musical episode. When it originally aired, it ran 10 minutes too long which I absolutely loved. I watched the edited version in syndication and it just felt like there was something missing. There's just so much humor put into the episode. I laughed so much. Especially at anything Anya and Xander sang. (I've Got A Theory, Must Be Bunnies, and I'll Never Tell). And Tara's love song to Willow has the potential to be a breakaway pop hit. (I'm Under Your Spell). Such a beautiful voice. Spikes love song to Buffy is a absolutely rockin track. (Rest In Peace). In the edited syndication version they cut out a verse from his song. Which absolutely sucks. But the awesome thing is the CD has all the songs, unedited! You can here them from beginning to end. You can listen to the CD in your car to and from work. Then come home and watch the episodes full version on DVD or Netflix. You'll laugh, You'll cry, you'll sing long, and then you'll watch it again and again and again.Read full review
This is the music from the episode where the demon makes everyone break into song at odd moments (even background actors are singing--some guy on the street singing about how the cleaner got the mustard out of his shirt). But the interesting thing is that each song tells us a secret that the singer was unwilling to share with his/her's friends. It allows Buffy to finally open up about how Willow and the other Scoobies brought her back, not from a hell dimension, which is what they thought, but from heaven, where she was happy. It's great to hear all my favorite characters and to know that with a touch of finger I can hear these songs over and over.
Product came sooner than expected and very nicely wrapped. Great experience all around.

This is one of my favorite cd's of all time. I just love listening to it over and over again. No Buffy fan's collection is complete until you own this cd. It is a must have! Not only do you get the songs from Once More With Feeling you get other songs from different episodes. You also get Joss Whedon's rendition of "Something to Sing About". It's just loaded with great songs. My personal favorite is "Standing" by Anthony Stewart Head (Giles). The song is filled with such emotion, Tony's voice is just amazing.
I bought this cd for my daughter who was wearing out the dvd of this episode we own trying to learn all the songs. I was happy with this purchase as it was shipped quickly and appeared and still does appear to be a quality cd. When the cd arrived I was happy to see that contained in the jewel case was one of the little books that often accompany cds. The small booklet contains illustrations of the various cast members, all the words to the songs included on this cd, and a short message from Joss Whedon. The last thing that I was pleasantly surprised to find was that the cd also contains the suites to the episodes "Hush", "Restless", and "Sacrifice" from episode "The Gift".
My sister loved it.

It's never too late to appreciate the greatness that is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. 'Once More with Feeling' happens to be one of the more memorable episodes and this soundtrack provides a musical documentation. Not one song is left out of this soundtrack and the booklet includes lyrics and drawings that any fan would appreciate. Singing along to these songs in the car, or anywhere there is not a television, is always a positive experience.
Happy to have the CD but the case was in really bad shape
