I've have never had a powered wood planer before but have often considered one because as I get older, using my trusty Stanley hand planer requires a lot of physical effort. I chose the Silverline 710 as my best option on Price, Weight & Power. I am happy to say that this machine exceeds my expectations and I am delighted to say that it easy to use and produces excellent surface finishes with ease. When I consider both the price and the 3-year Warranty on this piece of workshop equipment, I am positive that I have made the best choice possible. Electric planer easier life
This product, this planer is a very good tool to use, not having used one previously more used to the old fashioned non powered type, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use. of course just as in any type of planing operation one needs a jig to hold the piece that is being worked on. the jig I used with the non powered planes worked just as well with this one.
