I repaired a 1" tear in my antique car seat. The inside repair worked great and the vinyl crack filler worked fine but didn't "cure" with heat as the instructions described. THAT SAID, The product filled the tear nicely and given about 3 days to air dry, it made a good looking repair. Mine is a black seat and is barely visible. It's a lot less expensive than an upholsterer.

You get a tiny little cup of the clear epoxy which you need as the base. It's so small that only a small tear would be fixable with that amount. The kit from Permatex gives you a proper toob of the stuff which is way more useful. I opened the little dabber in this one to see if it had hardened up like another cheesy no name kit I bought here on Ebay and while it was still good that day it set overnight and was then useless so I went out and bought a big shot of 2-part epoxy to replace it.

use it properly and it is great. The out come depends on the person using the product . If not used correctly it will not have a good finish . Do not blame the product for user errors .Gary !!
