really pleased with my new moon sirius pro which i bought primarily as a daytime running/sunny weather safety light for my catrike 700. it was a toss up between this, moon nebula, the cateye viz 300 and leyzene strip pro. wanted some serious lumens but i did not want to spend more that £30. initial impressions very favourable. looks quality. very solid, chunky build and stuffed with features. too many?? i was a bit worried it would be too complicated and that all/some of the so called 'intelligent' features would be annoying, and not be able to be disabled, as some reviews have suggested. but i can report that all the 'intelligent features' can indeed be turned off, and you can just use the light in 'normal' mode if you want. yes, that includes the braking feature. at least, i havnt been able to get it to come on when testing in normal mode. whether its too complicated is debatable. you definitely need to study the instruction leaflet very carefully before use, but i wouldn't say its overly complicated. quite fun to use actually. i'm not sure, even after extensive study i totally understand the day/ night switching feature, or trust it to work. still, i can just turn all those things off so it doesn't matter. anyway, it is extremely bright, esp in the day flash, 350 lumen mode, as expected, but the other modes (apart from the 5 lumen steady) are also very bright. whether its any brighter than lights pumping out between say 150 or 300 lumens is debatable, but its certainly quite visible in sunlight. the only light i have that is at all comparable is my smart superflash 1watt, which is quite impressive itself, but the moon sirius pro is noticeably brighter than that. you can alter the brightness of the 5 modes (in normal and intelligent mode) to varying degrees which might be useful. to switch into so called 'intelligent mode' you hold the on button for 3 seconds from the off state. i'm not a huge fan of such things but they seem to be implemented quite well here. the braking feature does not appear to be constantly activated by bumps as another review stated. i kept looking over my shoulder to see if it constantly got activated by bumps but it didnt seem to be. and the 'switching off when parked' feature is quite a good idea, if a little unnecessary, given the lights long run times and the ease of pressing a button. one nice little detail i noticed that might be of interest, is the leds, or lens is angled a bit so the light is beamed properly backwards (into the eyes of motorists haha) when the light is mounted on a angled seat post, to make up for the light not having an angled bracket like lights like the cateye viz 300. over-all, i recommend this product, esp if you can get it for £24 delivered like i did. This light will allow you to see on the darkest of nights. On the road it is too bright on the highest setting for oncoming vehicles and you can easily use just 1 led at a middle setting and still see where you are going. The ability to select a wide or spot led is a neat feature as the optics are well designed and therefore you do not need masses of lumens to illuminate your way unlike the cheap chinese lights that I have had in the past which throw light all over the place but not really in the direction you really need it.

Very powerful light with multiple power settings that are easy to operate combined with good battery life makes this the best bike light I ever owned. I have used this for all night cycling on the Dunwich Dynamo several times where it has given me the extra light needed to navigate the darker country lanes. I recently bought a second light for my wife to use. Make sure to get the 2000 lumens version as this has better power specs than the newer and slightly cheaper 1500 lumens version for when you need an extra burst of light.

This is the very first "proper" and most expensive front light I have ever purchased for cycling. It's funny to think how this has cost me more than some folks buy a bicycle for...... anyway... It is an amazing and essential item of equipment that is a MUST in order for me to both see where I'm going and for other road users to be aware of my presence. The supplied pug-in remote control is such and advantage and saves fumbling in the dark to change modes whilst on the move. My only fear is the complicated and most likely delicate electronic circuitry contained within... this is usually the first thing to go as soon as the warranty period is over... Fingers crossed and of course 'only-time-will-tell'
