Product Information

With the Samsung SpinPoint M8, no one should ever have to worry about having enough memory storage on devices built for mobility. The Samsung 750 GB hard drive features advanced format technology (AFT), which allows the device to contain a higher amount of data memory per unit area. This technology gives the internal hard drive the ability to be manufactured in a small size but still pack in high levels of data storage for its user. The Samsung 750 GB hard drive contains a memory capacity of 750 GB, a cache of 8 MB, an average seek time of 12 ms, and an average latency time of 5.6 ms. Running on an SATA interface of 3.0 Gbps, the Samsung SpinPoint M8 offers both high performance and speed as well. To ensure the internal hard drive stays both safe and silent, it features shock resistant technology as well as SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technology to keep the operating noise level to a minimum. The Samsung 750 GB hard drive measures 9.5 mm tall by 69.75 mm wide by 100.3 mm long and has a form factor of 6.35 cm.

    Bargain price, good capacity!

    I bought this to replace the stock 7200 RPM 160 GB hard drive that came with my ThinkPad T400. The added space is a real bonus, however the difference in speed is a tad noticeable, since this drive is only capable of 5400 RPM. But it is a good trade-off, I think (and it extends slightly the battery life), and in the future I might move this drive to the expansion bay and put a fast SSD as my boot device, to speed things up.

    AS far as know the 750 GIG Hard drive is the largest capacity to date for any hard drive for PC or MAC?!? perfect for up-grading you note book / laptop to top of the range could not ask for better
