The place is Jumping
The woofer on my LEAK speaker stopped working; The Voice Coil wire wire had blown - checked with a Multi meter LEAK Speakers are an important piece of furniture in our house due to the sound they make. Throwing the speakers away and replacing them with a modern plastic alternative was considered; but think about the planet; the transportation costs from China and the delay that ensues. Ebay was perfect I found the similar dimension-ed woofer 8 " rated at 8 ohm with a significantly higher power rating. now all I had to worry about was the LEAK electronics cross over. Was that still functioning after 60 years of use? The spade connectors were the same, the cabinet hole was the same , the slight change still needed is the PCD of the clamp holes. Wired up and ready to go the power was ...
