Oregon Scientific WMR86A Weather Station
I installed this product 3 weeks ago, it was straight forward and easy to follow the directions. It appears to work as advertised except for the top section of the home base. It is suppose to show either the current conditions or weather conditions for the next 24 hrs but virtually every day it show that it is cloudy and raining in the afternoon when actually it has been sunny and in the 80's every day. I emailed the company and got a terse reply, but I responded asking for a better answer, I have heard nothing. The temp, humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure seems to work correctly but am waiting for some rain to check the rain gauge. Overall, I find it does what advertised and would recommend it to anyone who wants and inexpensive and easy to set up Weather station ... Don't waste your money !!
I had this unit two days before it quit working. The wind speed sensor will only work if your shake it lightly constantly. when you stop shaking ,, it stops, contacted the person I bought it from, I was told to contact Oregon Scientfic. It has been almost two months and still no replacement ... I have since bought an Accurite Weather station , and it works fantastic !!!!!!

I've been using this Model for over 5 years!!
This unit and it's accessories has worked for over 5 years without a problem!! Recently the anemometer would not record wind speed only direction. You can't buy the replacements any more and the price was way less than when I originally bought the entire unit!! I tested all the components in about a 1/2 hour and found them all working and they all look new right out the box. I changed out the Anemometer and re-programed the base unit and was back up and running in under 30 minutes!!This unit and it's accessories has worked for over 5 years without a problem!! Set-up too complicated
The set up on this thing was too difficult. I still haven't been able to get the rain gauge working right. Everything else works OK after some fooling around. For the price it's not bad if you can get it all working.
