A great receiver. On many radiostations, an excellent stereo sound reception (with headphones). The speaker has a large volume margin. The sound quality is good. With an open antenna, everything works just excelent. Antenna in the open state is large enough that the receiver will play radio in the province. The work of DAB Radio could not be verified, because in Russia we do not have digital broadcasting yet. But in Europe I plan on listening to digital radio. In the 3.5mm jack all the headphones work fine (in stereo), even 4-contact (like Apple or Beats), despite the disclaimer produced in the instructions. The only thing I did not like this lack of an alarm clock for automatic timer activation.

They got almost everything right. Very small but solidly built, and not too prone to fall over. Nicely balanced sound considering the tiny speaker, cleverly EQ'd, even low bitrate stations are listenable over long periods. Reasonable battery life, but battery not replaceable as far as I know (Goodmans GDPRDAB a little better on battery arrangements, that uses a generic lithium mobile phone one). Micro USB for charging which I find very convenient, can charge from computer, laptop or plugtop USB power supply, but you have to take a bit of care with plugging it in due to the fiddly connector. This is very sensitive on DAB and good on FM. Aerial is long enough to work very well and robust, (not spindly like the Goodmans). Good stereo sound from headphones although headphone drive a bit low for my Sennheisers (...speaker is probably very low impedance), also some white noise from output amps is audible on headphones, - not terrible, but audible on good headphones. Power can be locked on or off, very sensible. Preset arrangements and ergonomics generally are very good indeed. Display is bright, informative, and clear for its size. All in all a great set, a little pricey but worth it.Read full review

small YES pocket size with a massive antenna wow it made me smile the audio quality was acceptable from a tiny tiny radio .... bought as faulty the power switch has a silly fragile linkage to power on i fixed mine but its a really clear mistake Sony should deal with on future production models .. Antenna is massive it can get FM nicely but really why not utilize a flexible antenna or headphone flex at a FM antenna.. sony has this as £78 pocket radio if unit had wake up alarm and sound profile adjustment it would be 5 stars its getting on now Date First Available : 6 May 2015 ~ Pure move was as good what will future tiny models bring

This really is a great little radio and packs a punch despite its small size. DAB reception is excellent and search brings up a host of stations and it’s easy to select 10 to presets and add another 3 using the 3 x favourite keys. Sound quality is good for the size of the radio and as you would expect the build quality is really good. Charging is a doodle and the battery holds a charge for around 4 long days of use. Buy one, you’ll love it.
