    A Must Read for Christians, especially lukewarm Christians

    A MUST READ: Richard Wurmbrand's book, "Tortured for Christ" is not so much about the torture he and others in the Underground Church had to endure (and it is horrific, to say the least), but it is even more about the love he and his fellow Christian prisoners had for their Communist torturers. Jesus told us to "love your enemies" and his loving his enemies will hit you square between the eyes. Often the love they shared for their torturers eventually led them (the torturers) to surrender to the Lord Jesus, and sometimes they ended up in the same cells with Wurmbrand. While some spit on them and kicked them, Wurmbrand rushed to their aid and tended to their wounds. And (this will rock your boat) the torturers that murdered his wife and son eventually were led to Jesus -- in Wurmbrand's ...

    Perseverance through persecution and still showing the love of Jesus- powerfully moving!

    This is amazing book, and was followed by a movie, telling the incredible witness of Richard Wurmbrand enduring torture for his faith in Christ and still praying for his captors. He went on to found Voice of the Martyrs which tells the story of people persecuted for their faith today. This is a powerful book- you should read it!

    Sad but true story but Victorious!

    A must read....true story Stranger Than Fiction. We think we have it difficult here when someone gives us a little trouble oh, but we don't realize how some people have to suffer for their faith. You will not be able to put this book down.
