An oldie but a goodie...
This quad CPU tray instilled new life into my venerable 2009 MP 4.1. I may upgrade in the future, but for right now I will just get reacquainted with my ol' cheese grater. I bricked my original CPU tray with a CPU swap that went south. I hadn't touched the machine in over a year. Put in a new CMOS battery, sprayed out all of the year old cooties with canned air. easy way out to repair failed cpu board
Used to replace failed northbridge due to notorious heat sink failure (due to plastic retainer that probably costs pennies, wtf Apple, such a good design otherwise ). Gave a little performance boost to boot. Need to flash 5,1 EFI to use on MacPro 4,1.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Plug & Play at its BEST!!
The Northbridge Chip on my old tray burnt out and bought this to replace it. Works perfectly! Then flashed the firmware from 4,1 (2009 models) to 5,1 (2010 models) and installed a 6-core Xeon and 56GB of RAM. Simple and straight forward.
