Has no taste which is great.
I have been taking this product for several months, I just ordered my second can and I was reading that it has some heavy metal in it, I added it to my smoothies everyday and in my morning coffee. My skin has been feeling very itchy and i could not figure out why. I have stopped taking it for 1 week now and the itching is subsiding. I would always be itching my face. I have no idea what is in this to cause this itching of the skin. I am looking into another one without the heavy metals and compare. Also my stomach has been giving me some problems also and now it seems to be calming down. So sad, because i think my skin looks great. I have not opened the new can as i am waiting another week or so to see if this is really what the problem is . Doesn't mix
This is better than some liquid collagens in that it doesn't have a terrible cloying fruit flavored taste added, but it doesn't mix well, and so either you have to spoon up the glop and choke it down or else you miss out some of the benefit. This product has been an effective addition to my joint care regimen. It mixes very well (does not clump) with all types of liquids. It has a slight "brothy" taste if you use more that 2 tablespoons per 20 ounces of whatever liquid you are mixing it with but I do not taste it at all with my smoothies or Juice. No stiff hands

Great for humans & animals!
Great Lakes Gelatin Collagen Hydrolysate is a great product that I use personally, and the canine members of my household also highly recommend it! We all have found that it makes a noticeable difference in our joint pain levels, is a great source of additional protein, and as a bonus makes our nails stronger! seems to help depression
Even though I'm taking this to heal gastritis and doesn't seem to be doing anything so far after 3-4 cans. But notice when I stop taking it for 2-3 days my depression gets seriously bad! When I drink it again for a few days I feel much better. I don't like becoming dependent on another product for the depression. But hoping it is healing other issues along with the depression. Still better than taking prescription meds I guess. Time will tell if it is healing other issues. Helps with back, hip & knee joints
Taking this gelatin every day has done more than anything else for my joints. I already take glucosamine sulfate, calcium/magnesium, boswellia resin, and multivitamins plus extra C, but when I started drinking this I actually noticed a difference. I mix a Tablespoon in 1/4 cup water, add some Dole Orange/Peach/Mango frozen concentrate, and fill the cup with boiling water.
