It was a challenge to dismantle and rebuild my Silvia, but I learned a a lot about it in doing so. Some advice: Take lots and lots of pictures. Label and map every electrical connector you disconnect. The cutouts where tubes and wires pass through are sharp-edged, not smoothed by paint. Tape them for protection. There are YouTube videos, but you need to watch many.

Easy fix though just needed to drill the holes in the cover plate a bit bigger. Luckily I had my son who is a qualified mechanical fitter do all the difficult bits. He has all the right tools as well which no doubt made it a lot easier. Took about 2 hours all up but that was just taking it very easy. Has certainly given my old rusted out machine a new lease on life!
