This GPU has made it possible to encode bluray disks on an older PC. The hardware excelleration really does make a difference increasing the encoding rate by a factor of 6 over compared to inbuilt GPU.
Not all software can utilise this GPU's hardware acceleration features, but the CPU has less work to do and the PC is definately more stable.
Unfortunately for Windows Vista PC you may need to manually download the driver from Nvidia's website and manually install it, but that is the only problem I have had so far but easily rectified.
Fantastic graphics card that gives fast and stunning results. The ability to utilise the software provided to tune in my monitor correctly so I now have a vibrant and sharp picture in all modes. As it is a passive card there is no fan noise to have to put up with, it is abslutely silent which is fantastic. The Asus NVIDIA GT710 is fantastic value for money if you are looking for a card that moves up from the generic (cheaper) cards to something a little more specialist.
I wanted a card for my silent office computer and this is perfect. I've no idea whether it's any good for video rendering or games (probably noty) but I've no plans to do that on my office computer. Information about the sound level of graphics cards is like hens teeth so I opted for this as it's guaranteed to be silent.
I have been suffering intermittent video shut-down for five months, due to a bug in Win10 and integrated graphics.
I selected this card as a high resolution video output for photographic use.
It slotted easily into the computer and as simple to set up.
Excellent video and all on board memory released for computing.
Hurray all Win10 shut-downs eradicated.
Card runs cool and silent with gaming graphics beyond my needs.
