A fine balance between the intuitive and the understood : across language and
style. I suppose you could call it "avant garde" , though it's hard to know what that means anymore. Has an experimental element that pushes it out from merely ordinary and into a refined chaos. There is a delicacy which always apparent , that pushes hard against the wilder surges : a fantastic drum- savagery track by Jaki Liebezeit and Phew vocalising with it has to be heard to be comprehended: just
brilliant !
I don't know who the other musicians are --all with Germanic / European names--
but it's a great combination coalescing into / on a very fine CD. I did have this disc when it and "Phew" appeared ; really glad to re-acquaint with them both -- they hold up as good as they did back in the 90's.
