The two undisputed champions of 2D fighting meet to duke it out once again -- this time on Xbox, and courtesy of SNK NeoGeo. While presenting the same wide array of character and match customization options seen in earlier versions of the popular cross-over series, SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos offers a few new features as well. Expert fighters can now inflict even more special move damage, by nailing the game's "Exceed Moves" with just the right timing. A "forward ground step" move allows a fighter to adjust the timing and positioning of attacks on the fly, to throw off a skilled opponent. Over three dozen fighter characters are available in the game, including returning heroes and villains from the King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, and Street Fighter franchises, as well as version-exclusive entrants Shiki, Athena, and Mega Man.

    Great game!

    I didn't own an Xbox when it originally was released and I didn't know about this game until recently. If you're into fighting games then you have to try this game! It's a hidden gem in my opinion, I don't here people talking about it!

    Good cross-over, great 2-d fighter!

    Good, if challenging gameplay, attractive sprites (many are carried over sadly), distinct aesthetic for the stages (almost biblical/supernatural themed), Iconic characters, and it's super collectible being an obscure entry exclusive to the Original Xbox! Also characters share banter (text) with one another, cross franchise included. Kind of uncommon for cross-over titles. It's really awesome seeing Ryu scold Mia for her air-headed wardrobe. R.I.P. Ms. Shiranui. If you enjoy the Kof series, it's certainly worth while for your collection! If you can get it for a decent price, pick it up!

    Somehow it kills the AES version

    You read it right. This is somehow better than the neo geo AES version. The only drawback is that the Xbox controller sucks compared to the neo geo sticks, but superior presentation for a fraction the cost. Solid.
