Likely amongst the best on the subject but might not be for you.
At the time of commenting I’m a little under half way through this text book and have found it helpful in developing reasoning stragorgies. For me the bulk of the comments are not on the particular aspect of strategy I was looking for but that’s the nature of books. Have a pen and notebook handy as you read, you’ll need them for notes and to work through examples. You might also decide it’s the type of book to be read a few pages at a time, that’s not a criticism as such just an observation that some readers will find the book challenging. Something has to be exceptional or perfect to be awarded five stars by me in a review and hence I can only award four. In parts of the book it uses illustrations that assume familiarity with American sport and culture, that assumption has impeded my learning but with a bit of thought and better explanation that would not have happened. In the book some situations are named, described and later succinctly defined but others lack that most usedful definition - again that wouldn’t be hard to correct. I’d have like decision trees to have been considered in more depth, to my mind they are essential for strategic thinking. I’m not sure that I would buy this book again as it hasn’t closely matched my own particular reasons for purchasing it. However it has many glowing reviews elsewhere and I can see justification in them, it might be perfect for you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
