This Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G1 12.1 MP digital camera uses an SD card slot to provide users with access to an easily exchanged compact storage option. Users can also choose which size they prefer to save an image at, allowing them to choose from fewer high-resolution images or more lower-resolution images. A 3-inch LCD screen on the back of this blue Panasonic camera body provides users with the ability to navigate a myriad of different settings as well as preview and review images. The screen can even swivel and twist to adjust to multiple viewing angles. Photographers with more technical knowledge can manually configure each individual setting, though the Panasonic camera body also offers the option of preset shooting modes, which optimize the settings for a given environment based on the mode selected. Among the settings available on the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G1 are adjustable light sensitivity, exposure control, and white balance. The 12.1 MP digital camera also sports an integrated flash with settings to reduce red-eye and deliver other functions. In addition to taking photos and storing them as JPEGs, this Panasonic camera body is also capable of storing the images in a RAW format.

    An excellent mirrorless interchangeable lens camera

    I have own a Panasonic G1 for 3 years now and I am still very happy with it. One of the main reason is it has a viewfinder even tho it is LCD and not an actual mirror. The M 4/3 format open up to lens not only from Panasonic, Leica but also from Olympus including 4/3 lens and OM lens. Picture quality is excellent. Love the small size and the dSLR looks with a proper handle. Current price for a use one makes this a steal. In fact, I now own 5 of them because it is such a great value. I wanted the other 4 for backup in case the first one fails. But after 3 years of constant use, over 100,000 shutter count, it still works as good as new. The only downside is no video. That has never been a problem for me since I don't ever take video. If I wanted to take video, I'd buy a video camera. For me, ...
