"Fascinating and imaginative&It's non-stop action when gamers must navigate clever puzzles and outwit determined enemies in a virtual world in order to save a real one. Readers are in for a wild ride."--Terry Brooks, #1 New York Times bestselling author "This non-gamer loved every page of Ready Player One. "--Charlaine Harris, #1 New York Times bestselling author " Ready Player One expertly mines a copious vein of 1980s pop culture, catapulting the reader on a light-speed adventure in an advanced but backward-looking future. Best book I've ever read

If you were born in the mid to late 1970's and grew up playing Atari 2600, your family had an Apple IIE or and Apple II+, you stared for hours in disbelief when Super Mario - THE REAL Super Mario was right there in your bedroom when you though graphics like the arcade could never appear at home, etc. then this will be your favorite book you've ever read - bar none.

      Item was not as pictured.

I was disappointed that the book did NOT have a dust jacket. The picture of the item showed it had one.

    • Read This If You Grew Up in the 80s

If you're an 80s child like me, Ready Player One will have a sense of cultural nostalgia that will bring you right back. The combination of a futuristic dystopia with that nostalgia is why I have recommended it to many friends and is one of the few books that I read over and over. Note: Do not confuse this with the movie. They are very different, and in my opinion, the book is so much better.

    • Love the book

One of my favorite books in the last 10 years. Totally spot on for a kid from the 80's, but cool enough for modern gamers.
