Originally a PC game, Cake Mania for Nintendo DS has the advantage of being played with the stylus. A simulation game, Cake Mania (DS) is suitable for anyone to play, but it becomes more difficult as the levels progress. The Nintendo DS Cake Mania player takes on the character of Jill, a trained chef who is trying to build a successful bakery. The bakery can be customised in Cake Mania for Nintendo DS and more sophisticated equipment can be purchased in the game to increase production times. In Cake Mania (DS) the player takes a customer's order by tapping the screen, and then baking a cake, taking it to the customer, and collecting payment. The entire process is timed, with customer satisfaction and baking quotas being the measure of success. Cake Mania for Nintendo DS has colourful graphics and offers increasingly challenging game play. The customers in Nintendo DS Cake Mania become more difficult to please the higher the player progresses, but the reward at the end is the bonus quest.
