    the best rc truck ever made

    these transmissions are very durable, my last one lasted 9 years and i was amazed.but, it was time to update some parts on my revo 3.3 because i teardown my trucks at least once to see what needs to be repaired or replaced.so, i received my new one and havent tried it out yet because im waiting on just a few more parts to come in.i hooked up everything and it goes in forward and reverse but i wont know until im actually ready to fire it up once more very soon/

    Fits 2.5 Nitro Revo just fine

    I have been out of this hobby for a good 8 yrs. When I started getting back into it, I decided to fire up my old Nitro Revo and Tmaxx. After a bit of fun I broke the driving gears in the transmission when the optidrive sensor decided to freak out. However, when I tried to get an exploded view for the part replacement, I found that Traxxas website only shows the Revo 3.3. After searching on forums and whatnot, I found that maybe the gearing was a bit different, but otherwise the transmission was plug and play on the Revo 2.5. Sure enough, it dropped right in, meshed with the bell on the engine perfect, and works great. I have since bypassed the optidrive, so as long as the r/c is stationary and idling, I can switch to reverse when I want to.
