Informazioni sul prodotto

Tra gli anni di Bernabò Visconti, signore di Milano dal 1354 al 1385, e la caduta di Ludovico Sforza detto il Moro (1500), le botteghe orafe del Ducato di Milano produssero straordinarie opere elaborate sfruttando sapientemente la tecnica smaltaria. Ne emerge un quadro del tutto nuovo entro cui trovano posto smalti en ronde-bosse, che la documentazione mostra in particolare connessione con il gusto del potente Gian Galeazze Visconti, duca di Milano dal 1395, grazie all'imperatore Venceslao, così come quelli traslucidi, nonché gli smalti "a pittura", una tecnica quest'ultima particolarmente promossa da Ludovico il Moro, a sua volta incoronato duca nel 1495. Un quadro ricco di episodi di grande livello e di artigiani dal solido mestiere, segnato da manufatti di grande qualità.
