I brought this pulley set to repair my tree lopper which had a broken pulley system. I took it apart easily and fitted it to the lopper, all works great with pulleys and rope to spare. This was the cheapest solution for this problem. As for lifting 180 Kg, I think it would be at it's limit, but for lighter loads it would work well in a light use environment. In short, it does what it says it will but don't overload it.

There's no check on the hoist making it not too easy to use and moderately dangerous, there has to be applied tension on the line all the time - so get some cleats ready and never let anyone be underneath in any way until the cord is tied off. The cord is poor and more than prone to tangle and worse twisting. I bought two but binned one as a training exercise. Works best if there's weight on the lower hook all the time to stop the blocks turning over - I added my Mole grips before unpacking number two. The hoist, in itself is OK with a good length of cord (well string really) supplied and a decent mechanical advantage. If you're looking for decent kit - look elsewhere.

Do not try & lift 185kg - I tried a load of 125kg, the grip needed on the small diameter cord for the force needed to lift this weight made it too risky to continue, it could have slipped through ones hands and the crash to the floor. The main purpose I bought it for was to regularly lift some ladders up through an opening and it works fine for that. I also intend to use it to lift some batteries weighing 85kg out of an engine well of a boat. I update the review (if I can) when I have tried that. Overall for the money it is good little kit but could be improved by replacing the supplied 'rope' with a more pliable and less unruly cord of suitable breaking strain, the original curls it self up in a mess when there is a long length out of the blocks.

I expected something a lot less substantial. I bought it to lift large heavy shrubs out of their pots and into bigger ones. The only fault l could say about the product was that the rope could have been slightly thicker.

I used the pulley to ease the effort of lowering and lifting a very heavy boot lid (that also carried the spare wheel) on an old car. The weight of it had been hurting my back badly and I was advised by my Neurosurgeon to 'do something' to lessen the load. This works beautifully. But I did change the cord to black Purlon 5mm thick as the length of cord could be shorter, the load a lot less than maximum and it is kinder to the hands.
