ORDERING - Spares and Repairs
We aim to despatch your order within 1 working day of receipt of cleared payment, however in extremely busy periods this could be up to 3 working days. If there are any stock issues we will contact you to advise immediately. When placing an order please submit your email address and contact number.
Standard Free postage is via Royal Mail second class. Should you wish to receive your item sooner, please either select the first class service in the postage section, or contact us before ordering your parts.
 
ORDERING Blinds - Standard or Made to Measure
We aim to despatch your order within 3 working days of receipt of cleared payment however in extremely busy periods this could be up to 7 working days. If we have any stock issues we will contact you to advise. When placing an order please submit your email address and contact number in case there are any issues with your measurements or selections.
 
Please add a note in your Paypal payment or send us an ebay message or email stating whether the blind is being fitted on the inside or outside of the recess, the width you require, the drop required and also the fitting height from the floor to the top of where the blind is being fitted so that we can send out the correct length pull chain. If you do not send the fitting height, then the standard 100cm continuous looped chain with child safe P clip will be provided.
Please ensure you measure correctly. We cannot accept liability for mis measurements, and mistakes can be costly to rectify.
 
Due to different screen resolutions, we advise you order a free sample before purchasing the item you require. Colours and patterns can vary, and we cannot hold any responsibility if you have not seen a swatch of the fabric first.
 
Our standard delivery charges do not include Northern or Southern Ireland, some areas of Scotland, Scottish Islands, Isle of White, Isle of Man, The Channel Islands, or where water crossing is necessary. Please contact us before ordering so that we can advise of the current courier charges for delivery to your address.
 
If you are situated in an area outside the standard delivery charge, by proceeding to purchase you are accepting the additional charges and your invoice will be adjusted accordingly. If you have already paid, we will email you to advise of the additional charge.
 
Please make sure that your delivery address, including postcode and contact number are correct, as your item will be sent to the address provided.
 
Our couriers deliver Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. If you require delivery on a specific week day, a Saturday, or within a specific timeslot allocation, please add a note in the notes section of your Paypal payment. Please note that additional charges apply for deliveries on Saturday or for timeslot allocation.
 
RETURNS POLICIES
 
Spares And Repair Parts Returns Policy
These items are covered by a 14 day returns policy. If you have made a mistake or the item is defective you must inform us immediately. We require photo evidence of any damages before the refund process can begin. You the buyer are responsible to return the item at your own cost. Your refund will be for the part itself and not the original postage cost.
 
Returns Policy For Blinds Manufactured By Us
All blinds are sent out by ‘Signed for’ delivery and must signed as good condition.
If any damage is apparent the package must be opened in front of courier and signed for damaged. Refuse the delivery and courier will return it to us.
If you do not like the pattern or colour of the fabric, we do not accept returns for these blinds that are ordered without getting a sample as screen resolutions differ and colours may vary. It is the responsibility of the buyer to first contact us for free samples, once colour has been chosen you are governed by our blinds returns policy.
Most of our blinds are manufactured bespoke/made to measure. We personally manufacture every blind from scratch to your unique width and drop measurement. This type of product has its own consumer rights by English Law. We cannot offer any refund to bespoke products if you have measured incorrectly. If a problem occurs with the incorrect sizes you will need to contact us to see if there is anything that can be done to salvage the product and make to your correct sizes.
Should any bespoke products need to be returned, you the buyer are liable for the return postage costs to get the product back to us, and liable to pay postage costs to resend the product back to you.
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your non-bespoke item/s you have the right to return unopened goods within 7 days from receipt of goods.
Refunds are made for the purchase price. Please note that return postage costs are non-refundable unless previously agreed. If an item needs to be returned, please contact us by email. When emailing, please quote your eBay user ID, the item number of the item to be returned and reason for return. A returns number and label will be issued, and this is to be displayed on the packaging of the item to be returned. This enables us to easily and quickly identify who the return belongs to and process the refund. Failure to display a returns number on the packaging will lead to unnecessary delays in refunds being processed.
The arrangement and cost of returning an item is the responsibility of the buyer. Due to the large size of the items, we recommend that you contact us first as we may be able to recommend a suitable courier. The item(s) must be returned in the same condition as received and you are liable for the carriage cost. Upon returning items, please ensure that original packaging is used. If the goods are damaged when returned to us it is your responsibility to claim from the company used to send the goods back to us. Faulty goods, goods damaged in transit by our carrier or goods sent in error will be replaced on a like for like basis. We cannot accept returns when the goods have been trimmed or altered. It is the customer’s responsibility to check for any damages prior to making alterations.
 
Skylight Blinds Returns Policy for Manual and Solar Powered
We cannot be held responsible if you do not like the colour of the fabric due to different screen resolutions on all monitors. You must order a free sample prior to placing you order as we endeavour to give the best representation of the final colour.
If you are unsure of ordering the correct blind for your unique skylight window, please contact us before placing your order.
If you need to return the blind for any reason, then it is you the buyer that is required to pay the return postage costs.
You have the right to cancel your purchase 7 days after receiving your item. You are obligated to return the item unopened, in its original condition and the returns postage cost is to be paid by you the buyer. Prior to cancelling your order with us you must send an email to us at sales@affordableblinds.co.uk for approval of the returns process and issuing of the returns labels.
Please note: There is a restocking fee charged by our supplier for all skylight blinds and the solar powered blinds. This is non-negotiable and must be paid before the blind is to be returned.
Mistakes can be very costly, and we would advise that you contact us prior to ordering to avoid any issues.
 
COLLECTING YOUR ORDER
 
You can collect your order in person if you would prefer, please email or telephone to make the necessary arrangements with us. Paypal payments must be cleared before collection or we accept most major credit/debit cards. You will find our address on our Ebay shop home page or you can call us on 01843 229596.
 
RECEIVING YOUR ORDER
 
Your parcel will require a signature and will not be left without one. If you have any special delivery instructions, please leave a message in the notes section of your Paypal payment. If you are not in to accept your delivery the courier will leave a card and it is your responsibility to call the depot to rearrange a delivery date. Your item will be held for 5 days. If you do not contact the courier to re arrange your delivery the item will be returned to us. In this instance there will be a return fee charged to us which unfortunately we will have to pass onto you. If you then require the item to be redelivered there will be a new delivery charge payable before the parcel can be re booked. Our courier will also attempt to leave with a neighbour if you are not in attendance. If there are any problems with this situation, please contact us after making payment with any additional instructions.
 
Upon receipt please make sure you check your parcel for any damage and sign the delivery accordingly, if the packaging is damaged please sign as packaging damaged.
 
Please make sure you check your item immediately as damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
 
SKYLIGHT BLINDS – Manual and Electric
Please send a Paypal note or Ebay message with the glass sizes Width and Drop of your skylight window, this will ensure we manufacture the blind to the correct specifications. PLEASE NOTE: Some European counterpart skylight windows have entered the UK. These windows display the same code, but the measurements vary. If we essentially need measurements for certain brands of skylight, we will contact you for the GLASS ONLY measurements in millimetres.
 
Depending on your choices we aim to despatch all skylight blinds within 3 working days of your order. If you order the budget skylight blinds then we aim to despatch within 2 working days and delivery takes 2 days.
 
White framework skylight blinds can take up to 2 weeks to despatch as this is a luxury finish and the kit needs to be specially ordered from our suppliers before we can attach your choice of fabric.
 
We aim to stock most of the skylight kits, however some kits are specialist sizes and may take up to 2 weeks to receive the kit before attaching your choice of fabric colour.
If you are unsure about any of the despatch times, please ensure you contact us before purchasing the item. If you have already paid for the item we will contact you about any delay times to your order.
Each of these blinds are made to fit your exact size of window in your choice of fabric colour. If you have made a mistake in choosing the wrong code for your window, or have not ordered a free sample of the colour you like before purchasing, you will be liable for any costs to rectify the order. PLEASE NOTE: Our supplier charges a re-stocking fee to receive the item back from you before a replacement can be sent. Please check the returns policy on these made to order items before purchasing.
