Not what I was needing or expecting in a winter wool sock.
These socks are only 10% wool, they are not thick or winterwarm and are not suitable for hiking. They would be OK for wearing inside wellie boots in the garden in summer. They are not even the colours shown, but are very pale. Not what I was needing at all.

Good warm buy
I've been pleasantly surprised with these socks, they're lovely and warm, I often need to wear two pairs of other socks a thin and thick pair but these are warmer on their own. They're not quite as long as I thought they'd be at mid calf but fine for my needs so I'm very pleased with them.
