  • Stainless Fretwire

The great thing about SS fret wire is its hardness. When doing vibrato the frets don't "shave" off like nickel fret wire. This hardness also makes the fret wire harder to work with. I recommend gluing the frets, a machined sanding beam, double sided tape, and silicon carbide sandpaper. When gluing, first hammer/press the frets in, clamp in a radius sanding beam, and "wick" some crazy glue in at the side of the neck. Do not over use the glue as only a drop is needed. I do a neck in three sections. I file the sides down as I complete each section because the filing goes quicker. After the neck is fretted and filed flush to the side, leveling is done. Do not sand against the frets, sand with the radius of the neck and start with 400 - 600 grit. Crowning and further leveling with higher grits ...

  • The real deal stainless steel

I have to say once you install these frets the real deal stainless steel you are never going to have to do fret job again but you need to go through at least 2 pair of fret snippers or use a Dremel very tough material to cut

  • Stainless.

In my opinion stainless steel frets are the only way to go because of their smooth feel and they are very tough and long lasting. Acoustically the sound of the string contacting the fret is slightly brighter but coming through a amplifier on an electric guitar. The Tone difference is not discernible.

  • Awesome! The only fretwire that I will probably ever use!

  • Tough Enough!

Got this so that I'll have many years ahead before I'll need a re-fret! SMOOTH!
