      Small charge for a lot of life - low price great performance

      I had left my Logitech BoomBox unused for a couple of years. When I tried to use it it seemed to switch on OK and the battery seemed to start charging. However, after about 40 secs it would switch itself off. I suspected that the rechargeable battery was the culprit, but wasn't keen to spend $40-£60 for a genuine replacement. So at less than £15.00 I thought I might as well give it a go. It would either fix the problem or I would have to throw it away. It arrived more quickly than estimated. Without putting it into place I simply connected the battery and switched it on. It immediately played a complete 3 minute track! The connector wiring was a little bit longer than the original, which in itself was quite fiddly to fit back into the snug battery compartment. But I managed it after ...
