      £3? Deal!

      A little battery tester in the boot is always a handy tool to have. For anyone just starting out with cars or you want to do the work yourself here's a few points. There aren't really instructions on the box on how to use it so here it goes. First off connect the negative clip to the battery, then take the positive probe to the positive terminal of your car battery. This will give the voltage of the battery at that time. To test the alternator you want to start the car, repeat above. You now have the alternator voltage. Unless your car is from around the 1960's or so your car is going to be negative ground/earth. Results came back fine with my cars charging system, battery would drop to 12.0V if left for nearly 2 weeks. A good simple tool at a good price, though wouldn't pay much ...

      Does what it say test battery and alternator

      My battery kept losing power couldn't work out if it was the battery or something else put the tester on the battery with the engine on and straight away it told me the the alternator was not charging the battery replaced alternator all works fine now Get one of these testers before you spend a fortune on replacement parts and you can save a fortune Hope this helps and saves you money
