Notes
In '94, Method Man emerged from the Wu Tang Clan to release his solo debut, Tical, a groundbreaking synthesis of the electric and eclectic sides to the self-proclaimed "Tical-lion stallion." the album spawned several hits, including the platinum Grammy-winning smash "I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need" with Mary J. Blige. This Fall, he reclaims hip-hop's center stage with his sophomore album, feat. Redman, Mobb Deep and other Wu-Tang family members. 1st single/video: "Judgment Day."

  • Better than Meth's first effort...

Method Man's second solo effort Tical 2000, expands wonderfully on the themes that Meth failed to get across in his debut solo album Tical. Tical 2000 is more ambitious, better produced, darker, more emotional, much larger, and overall better than Tical. Method Man also matures musically in this album. Where as in Tical he had serious problems with his rhyming not melding with his beats, in Tical 2000 he shows much more attention to creating solid quality music. His sound is still scratchy and harsh, but his flow is so much smoother on this album. And where as in Tical the sound was just so drab you had difficulty actually listening to Meth, this album will grab your attention, and allow you to take Method Man in, in a more pure state. This album also features a song that is by far ...

  • Sophmore Curse

Method Man is one of my favorite MCs. He was the first one in the Wu-Tang clan with a Solo effort, and Tical was a great album. Maybe people are too hard on Meth's albums following Tical because they expect so much out of him. It could also be that the two solo albums he had after Tical were supposed to be either sequels or prequels to his debut so it gave people high hopes. Tical 2000: Judgement Day features a great deal of great tracks, but there are also songs he didn't put his strong foot forward on. Nice album tho, would recommend it to any Wu-enthusiast.

  • Very good album; lots of tracks; good lyrics; good beats; cool skits, too.

I like Method Man so 5 out of 5 for me automatically. I like that the album is very long. Like 24? 28 tracks? It's worth the money, for sure. Has clever skits in between most songs and creates a flow for the whole album. Very good. 5 out of 5. Get it and get it soon!!!! WORTH THE MONEY, NO DOUBT!
