For fun and to satisfy curiosity, I shot this in my F100 against my D700 in side-by-side, same setting test shots of landscapes, portraits and wildlife. Holy moley! I had forgotten how "cartoonish" a DSLR photo can look compared to film print. Biggest differences were the Velvia's detail transitions, which were natural. The D700 was so pixel crisp that, side-by-side comparisons looked a little like subjects had been cutout with a razor and pasted onto backgrounds. But that's a format difference, not a review of Velvia itself. Not having other film on hand, I can't compare it to another brand or another ISO. But I know that I liked them enough I don't need to look for other brands. I'll snap this up whenever I get the chance.

I have used Velvia for long and this is by far the best option for colour slides for a variety of subjects especially nature and outdoors. Colours are rich and vibrant. Push and pull works well too.
Good for a big project
