Lightbox for the 21st century!
Bought this as a birthday present for my other half. She has an old fashioned light box and wanted something a bit more modern and lightweight. Not only is this lightbox super slim, it has three brightness settings and it’s so easy to setup anywhere. Although the supplied usb power cable is quite short, it doesn’t cause any issues regarding placement of the light box. Excellent bit of kit.

Good but leaks light, not suitable for darkroom
Works well, only slight texture mostly not noticed. Ideal and easily bright enough for reviewing negatives / positives for photographic use. However not suitable for darkroom use. When off the board still emits blue light from the edges, quite a lot actually. So the cable has to be pulled out. If you want to use this in a darkroom I'd advise you to get something else. Good for drawing, slightly less so for photography
This lightpad is well made and convenient to use. It is ideal for drawing but I needed it for photography, where it has a few minor drawbacks. Firstly the light is not perfectly even, although it is good enough for most purposes. As expected, the light is not a perfect representation of daylight despite its specified colour temperature of 5600K, probably owing to the non-uniform spectral output of most LEDs. I have used the pad extensively and for the price, it is reasonable value. Provided its limitations are taken into account it is very useful for most photographic purposes, for general lighting or with care, for back-lighting. Care must be taken not to scratch it as the acrylic surface is easily damaged. It was well protected during despatch, so arrived in excellent condition.This lightpad is well made and convenient to use.
