    Unusual card

    Although this card is on the pricey side, especially when factoring in the postage, it has great novelty value; you are unlikely to find anything similar on the high street. My biker friend was delighted and intends to keep it!

    Hail a taxi at Euston.

    A lovely atmospheric view of Euston station with the so-called Doric Arch (there is no arch!) in the background. Malcolm Root is probably one of Britain’s finest transport painters and this card, showing an everyday scene on the streets of London, in the 1950s, is outstanding, without being sentimental. Highly recommended.

    Great documentary!

    The Home Guard is not a subject easy to find on video. What little I had seen had been very superficial and much-colored by the "Dad's Army" comic view. This video is detailed and very well-done, and I can easily recommend it. It would not play on my US DVD player but played no problem on my computer.
