It is the exact thing you need if your vehicle is without one.
I don't know why our original fell out, possibly it wasn't put in correctly in the first place. It is hard to imagine. Anyway this item fitted perfectly, I used a little grease to get the inner claw to sit home and then used a jack, with a small wooden block, to press the button in and lock it into place.
