    Steer clear

    Aftermarket spring seats on Volvo and european cars are infamous for failing after very little usage. I didn't listen and purchased these Febi spring seats. They came in a red box, printed Made in Germany, the spring seats were also stamped Made in Germany. One year and 5000 miles later I removed the springs to spray some paint on them. Upon inspection, one of the Febi spring seats had a deep 1/2 inch crack underneath, near the center sleeve - you cannot see this crack unless the strut assembly is removed from the car. I threw them into the bin, and installed Sachs spring seats this time.
