Genuine P1000
Having had a filter tap for many years, I am well aware of what some suppliers want to charge for the replacement cartridges. I like how my water, tea and coffee tastes as East Anglia has such hard water, my kettle also does not furrow up as much or as quickly while using filtered water. Therefore I see it as a reasonable cost to maintain the taste of filtered water, I even draw off a few litres for when I travel round the country for work, to use in my kettle. The delivery from this supplier was prompt, and item fully as described, I intend to be re-purchasing from them when my filter is ready for replacement. Easy to use and nice water, but expensive.
It's a good product which does exactly what it says, provides great quality water. It's an expensive product, which is why it only get 3 stars. Of course if you have a Brita tap you are possibly stuck with it, unless you are good at DIY (youtube conversion videos available, but I haven't tested the generic product.)

P1000 Brita Tap Refill
Have purchased this item as a spare refill. Have just used one to replace the original. Quite difficult initially to get the old refill out which eventually landed with a bang into the awaiting washing up bowl - punching a hole in the bottom of the bowl. Lucky bowl was there or it would have damaged the wooden sink unit. However, replacement was easy to fit.

Replacement Brita Filter
I bought a tap that has a built in filter and it has worked well for a couple of years. I recently changed the filter and noticed an immediate improvement in flow and shut-off - no more dripping. The filter is very simple to change, does not leak during the operation and can be re-cycled locally at my Argos branch also. Bit expensive but worth it, especially if you make a bulk purchase. Lovely Tasting Water.
No more battling with water filter jugs or additional taps, we now get lovely filtered water straight from our combination Brita tap. the filters are super easy to connect and hey presto thats it for another 6 months. Whilst the filter may seem expensive, it works out much cheaper than jug filters or buying bottled water. On of the best changes we made.
