Always keep a spare
The belt I currently have on my lathe is a replacement for the belt that came with the lathe a year ago. That is coming up for replacement hence this last purchase. My lathe gets petty heavy use. These belts seem to last 6 months or so... maybe a year with light use. But they're fine and no slip.
