Seller was helpful and communicated when I had questions. The package was delayed so it was late but that happens through shipping not the sellers fault the shipping was a bit pricey but well worth it. The Jacket was in amazing condition for being used as described. I was so excited to be able to replace the exact jacket that I had a few years ago, they are discontinued I thought I'd never see another Jacket like it again, so warm and great for winter. Thank you so much!

I bought a book he posted as having the condition "Brand New". The book I received was obviously used, with liquid stains across the fore-edge that soaked into virtually every page. When I pointed it out he said "the book was sold as described" and refused to pay return postage, which eBay ended up covering.

  • Good book for my future!

I'm currently doing post-baccalaureate work to hopefully go into medicine. This book has been a good inspiration and guide to what I want to do with my life, and hopefully find success and fulfillment in medicine. Dr. Iserson's book provides pivotal information for anyone who wants to provide great care in medicine. I will use this book heavily in my future and pursuit to be a competent and successful physician in my future.

  • Not different from previous editions

The book is good, but it is not updated. The book does not even address the new system for applying, ERAS, and still talks about sending paper applications to programs. No one does that any more. I also checked out a version of the book from like 1992 from the library while I waited on my 2006 version to come in the mail. Very little seems to have changed from beginning to end. Yes, there is a chapter on interviewing as a gay student (perhaps that's new), but that did not apply to me and therefore was not helpful. I had specific questions about how to fill out my ERAS activities section, and there is nothing about this in the entire book. All that being said, the book is good. In fact, I wish I had read it before I even started medical school. The title is misleading in that I thought it ...

  • Great book very useful

I purchased the book before applying for residencies, but I should have purchased it a lot sooner. Has a lot of useful information pertaining to how and when to do certain things, like what electives to take and how to ask for letters of rec. If you are not very familiar with the whole process it explains everything in detail. It also has a section that talks about every specialty and what it would take to get into that specialty, scores, etc. Overall very useful even if you just pick out sections to read and don't want to read it cover to cover (it is a long book). I would recommend buying it at then of 2nd/beg of 3rd year.

  • very helpful book

I was recommended this book by a resident to help navigate applying for residency. So far I think the purchase was worth it. It addresses mostly choosing a specialty, 4th year planning, applications, and interviews.
